Tamiya 25104
New 1/25 Limited edition of a Russian SU-100 Scale kit soon from Tamiya:
In 1943, the Russian SU-76 self-propelled gun was no longer effective to battle the new German tanks. During the end of 1943, the SU-85 was developed to replace the SU-76 self-propelled gun. The SY-85 was based off of the T-34 hull and armed with a 85mm gun. However, due to the thickness of the armor, demand grew for a more powerful tank. The SU-85 was modified in 1944. It was outfitted with a 100mm gun and renamed the SU-100.
The 100mm did not have the same piercing power as the German 75mm or British 17pdr guns, but it was heavier than the 75mm and allowed the Russian army to easily destroy the German tanks. The turret-less design also was an advantage because labor and construction costs were 20% less. In contrast, the turret-less design left the SU-100 weak in narrow or sloped terrain. As a result, the SU-100 was used as fire support for infantry and anti-tank combat. The SU-100 remained in service until the 1970s.

1/24 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.F
Tasca: 1/24 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.F
Germany was prohibited by the Versailles treaty to pursue tank development. They were an urgent necessity for Germany when they started rearmament the result was the Panzer II which was not sufficient for an encounter but was good for training.
The Panzer II was considered too light and had a crew of only three. It was planned the Panzer III and IV to be the main force but there were insufficient numbers at the opening of hostilities of the Second World War. So it was decided the Panzer II to join the blitzkrieg When the German Invasion of Russia started in 1941, the main tanks of the German Army were the Panzer III and IV, as the Panzer II was considered too small.
It armament was sufficient for soft targets and was valued at the front for communications and reconnaissance. Production of the Panzer II ended in 1940, but due to a chronic tank shortage production was resumed in 1941 with the Ausf. F., an improved version of the Ausf. C. The Ausf. F had strengthened armor on the front and had more simple silhouette than the Ausf. C.
Production of the Ausf. F ended in December 1942 after building 524 tanks. It became valued at the front in the middle term of the war.
