Well I'm going to take the plunge and join this contest. It's my first time here so I hope I'll be able to follow the rules properly.
I've never tried MiniArt products before but I've been intrigued by their large selection of dio accessories. So I've ordered a few MiniArt kits just for this contest. Hopefully they'll arrive in time.
The main kit of my entry will be the Village Workshop, with German Soldiers at Rest as support. I also plan to add some DML figures and an old Tamiya motocycle with a scratch built motorcycle soldier, who will be 'The Messenger'. I'm not quite sure how to layout the different elements yet and I can only do that after I've received the Workshop kit. But I've started to work on the individual bits.

I want the focus of the dio to be 'the messenger'. So I adjusted this guy's head so that he appears to be looking at the messenger who has just arrived, perhaps fearful of what news he may bring.
Not obvious in this pic is that the neck will need some re-sculpting after his head is turned, otherwise it won't look right.
Hi and Welcome!
It seems a very promising project! looking forward for more 'Work in Progress' photos!
This kit is a partial rehash of an older DML figure set, and one of the rehashed figures doesn't quite look right in this new setting. The right hand used to be holding the strap of his rifle but now it looks weird. I have the previous kit and you can see in the pic below the original pose. I plan to give him a new arm. The head poses of all the figures may also need to be adjusted once I find out how to place the figures on the dio. I still haven't received my ordered MiniArt kits yet

Thank you, Alexander (Kolche), AFV News, and Raistlin, for your warm welcome. I look forward to years of fun on AFV News!
I worked a bit on the 4th figure, the guy holding a file folder kind of thing. I think the gap between the folder and his body is too large for a relaxed pose, so I shaved off the high points on the body to get a closer fit. I'll need to fill in the gaps later.
For the guy holding the phone, the fit of the hand, phone, and ear is not good. I had to bend his wrist (the white line in the pic is from bending the plastic) so that the ear piece is flush against his ear. I also cut the tips of his fingers and thumb so that I can sculpt them later to hold the phone snugly.
