DRS Technical Services Receives $4.5M Award for U.S. Forces Satellite Support in Kosovo

BETHESDA, MD., AUGUST 9, 2011 – DRS Defense Solutions announced that its Technical Services (TSI) business unit received a $4.5 million task order to provide satellite transmission services to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of U.S. Forces operations in Kosovo.

Through DISA’s DSTS-G contract, DRS TSI has provided satellite services in support of U.S. Forces’ efforts within this Balkan region for the past 10 years. The Defense Information System Network (DISN) Satellite Transmission Service-Global (DSTS-G) contracts provide a full range of global fixed satellite bandwidth, earth terminals and related satellite-based business and enterprise services and solutions.
