UM: Russian trehdyuymovka

Famous «Russian ‘Trekhduimovka» model 1902 field gun was designed in Russia during 1901-1902 on chassis of 3 ” model 1900 gun. Ballistics and internal design remained but the chassis was completely redesigned.

Recoil mechanism was placed under the barrel so hydraulic recoil brake cylinder went down with the gun barrel after the shot. It was brought back by springs coiled over it. Lift and turn mechanism were ‘screw’ type. Steel chassis. Wooden wheels.

Gun was moved by arrangement of six horses. Widely used during Russo-Japanese war (1904-05), WWI, Russian civil war (1918-20), Russo-Polish war (1920) and other conflicts. It was very modern and effective field gun at the time. 5000 was made ??in total.
