Vehicles of the Canadian ISAF Contingent

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operates in Afghanistan since January 2001. The mission of ISAF is to support the new Afghan Government in regaining sovereignty, establishing a secure and safe environment and building functional security forces, as well as to support the economical and political rebuild of the country. This publication shows the vehicles in service with the Canadian contingent that includes most modern types such as the LAV III LORIT wheeled armoured infantry fighting vehicle, the Cougar 6×6 mine resistant ambush protected vehicle and the Leopard 2A6M CAN main battle tank with slat stand-off armour.
