Tamiya: Kubelwagen Type 82 “Ramcke Parachute Brigade”
1999 saw the release of the 1/35 scale German Kubelwagen Type 82 Africa-Corps (Item 35238) which proved to be very popular among modellers and it was often seen displayed as a support vehicle in many dioramas. 10 years on, Tamiya is proud to release this latest 1/35 German Kubelwagen Type 82 “Ramcke Parachute Brigade” set.
About the Ramcke Parachute Brigade
Following Operation Mercury, a successful airborne assault on Crete in 1941, several elite parachute units were formed into a brigade under the command of Colonel Ramcke. The “Ramcke Parachute Brigade” was sent to North Africa and was used to lead assaults against Allied forces and counter the actions of British SAS units. In the final stages of the North African campaign, the last of the brigade finally surrendered to British forces after fierce fighting in Tunisia in 1943.
